HOOMAN MAJIDI—Founder

With a background in literature, film, and design, Hooman has plied his professional interests in Australia and England, before moving to the US.

After starting at independent film company October Films (now Focus Features), Hooman later began work at internet start-up Broadway.com; an online marketing, news and ticketing destination for all things Broadway and West End, and one of the few successful survivors of the decimation wrought by the dot-com bubble.

As a love letter to ingenuity and innovation, helping brands and designers reach an universal audience that shares a passion for the inspirational and aspirational, freefroot was born in Spring 2008.

JOHANN WONG—Founding Member

Johann was Managing Director and Global Head of the hedge fund and advisory business unit of Lipper—a Reuters company—from 2005 to 2008.

He was a member of Reuters Research and Asset Management Leadership Team, responsible for the businesses focused on innovating online and offline communities. He lead the team which founded ReutersAdvicePoint.com.

Johann was the founder of HedgeWorld in 1998 to its sale to Lipper—a Reuters company—in 2005. He was also Deputy Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of HedgeWorld.com, a Bermuda-based company, which was the first independent Internet community and e-commerce platform for the global hedge fund industry.

Since 1984, Johann has been an officer, director and founding investor of several investment and financial advisory firms, private investment funds and private and public companies.
